Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), with a mission to promote MICE industry in Thailand in partnership with Thai Airways International and Travel Clinic announced a new promotional campaign called ‘Meet by Design’ at an exclusive dinner, ‘Thailand MICE Corporate Networking’ at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences on February 15, 2018.
Nooch Homrossukhon – Director – Meetings and Incentive Department, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, stated, “We have formed a great partnership in the Indian market, and work very closely with our allied partner like Thai Airways international. We will associate with Travel Clinic for the first time. We work closely with boutique and chain hotels in Thailand who have a MICE facility to promote the destination altogether. From 2016 to 2017 there has been a huge growth in India MICE visitors, of about 36 per cent. We will try to sustain the two-digit growth.”
She said, “We are launching the new promotional campaign called Meet by Design – comprising three campaigns, Meet Now, Meet Smart and Meet Mega. Meet Smart is in line with the government policy of driving Thailand 4.0. We are targeting the ten growth industries. If the corporates coming are from these ten targeted industries in a group of 100 they will get subsidies of upto 100,000 bath per group. If they have a corporate meeting for two full day meetings, three nights, they can book two months in advance, and stay in Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) certified as listed on website.”
She added, “Competition is getting fiercer but our key strengths is our hospitality and our understanding of the needs and wants of the Indian travellers. We are flexible in adjusting to the market’s needs.”
The event was graced by Apirat Sugondhabhirom, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy, Thamanoon Kuprasert, General Manager – India, Thai Airways International, Rohit Khanna, Managing Director, Travel Clinic, Nitin Sachdeva, Director-India Representative Office, TCEB, among others. It was also attended by over 35 corporations mainly from insurance, pharmaceutical, direct selling, automotive, electronics and FMCG segments.
