Travelport inks long-term deal with Jet Airways

Travelport has signed a long-term supplier agreement with Jet Airways that will be effective from April 2019 and enable online and offline travel agencies around the world to shop, book and manage itineraries for leisure and business travellers. Jet Airways will also deploy Travelport’s Rich content and Branding, from which over 270 airlines now benefit by displaying graphical content, their fares families and a full range of ancillary products. Damian Hickey, Head, Air-Travel Partners, Travelport, commented, “Travelport’s commitment to the Indian travel market and the provision of the widest range of content has been further evidenced today with the announcement of this new mutual commitment between Jet Airways and our company beginning April 2019. Furthermore, our position in the rest of Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas means that we are able to deliver to them a wide mix of international travellers. This is in addition to the millions of outbound and domestic Indian travellers they serve.”

Airtrade Holland BV joins hands with Travelport

Travelport has announced a new multi-year technology and content agreement with Airtrade Holland BV, the Dutch leader in travel technology. Under the new agreement, Airtrade will utilise Travelport’s open platform and Universal API technology to deliver its customers informed content in real-time from over 400 airlines, 650,000 hotel properties and 35,000 car rental locations. With 250 airlines signed up to use Travelport’s unique merchandising technology, Airtrade will also be able to display, gain powerful information around, and sell branded fare families and ancillary products (such as paid seat assignments, baggage fees, priority boarding, etc.) from these airlines. IndiGo fares, ancillaries now live on Travelport

IndiGo Airlines will now have its fares and ancillaries on Travelport’s travel commerce platform in India. The announcement was made in September, and now the content is live on Travelport. The launch saw in attendance Aditya Ghosh, President & Whole Time Director, IndiGo,  and Gordon Wilson, President & CEO, Travelport. The partnership will see IndiGo leverage Travelport’s leading merchandising capabilities to bring IndiGo’s brand proposition to life for travellers in India, and will be rolled out to agents globally in a phased approach.

IndiGo joins hand with Travelport

IndiGo has entered into a strategic partnership with Travelport. Through this tie up with Travelport, IndiGo will place its fares, ancillary products and offers into the Travel Commerce Platform.  Aditya Ghosh, President & Whole Time Director, IndiGo said: “This arrangement with Travelport will allow us to reach new customers, both at home and overseas, in a cost effective manner without incurring the traditional costs associated with participating in global distribution platforms using old style industry mechanisms and instead, enabling our real time connectivity to the GDS platform via an XML API link.”
