Delta rolls out RFID tags for Heathrow travellers

Delta’s focus on innovation has moved up a gear with the roll out of a new service which allows customers to keep track of their checked bags on its flights between London Heathrow to the United States via their mobile phones. In addition to live updates, customers can also access a map view of their bag’s journey when travelling in the United States through the Delta Fly app. Delta has invested more than $50 million to ensure the accurate routing and loading of the 180 million bags it handles each year.
