InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Riyadh – RDC Hotel and Convention Center. The 326-room hotel is located in the Al Ra’idah Digital City (RDC). The Crowne Plaza Riyadh – RDC Hotel and Convention Center offers a comprehensive range of facilities to meet the needs of corporate and MICE guests. IndiGo to connect Colombo from Chennai and Bengaluru from Jan 20


IndiGo has announced that Colombo will become its eighth international destination effective January 20, 2018 with daily direct flights from Chennai and Bengaluru. With these new flights, the airline will also offer connections to and from Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and other major Indian cities. Maharashtra announces first-ever Mumbai Shopping Festival 2018


Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in association with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, is launching the first edition of its annual property, the Mumbai Shopping Festival (MSF). India’s first of its kind citywide three-week festival will be celebrated from January 12-31, 2018, across the city of Mumbai. The festival will include immersive retail experiences clubbed with live performances across the city. In lieu of the recent notification by the Government of Maharashtra where shops and establishments can now stay open 24X7, the Ministry of Tourism and MTDC will set up Mumbai’s first ever Night Bazaar Flea Market which will go on till 4am on weekends only. To enhance visibility of the Mumbai Shopping Festival, MTDC has teamed up with various associations with various retail and commerce bodies including – MCHI – CREDAI, FICCI, FHRAI India, GJEPC India, NAREDCO, Retailers Association Of India (RAI), Indian Bullion & Jewellers Association and the Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association (FRTWA). Shopping partners for the Mumbai Shopping Festival 2018 include major malls and retail chains in Mumbai.  Adding to the festivities, the Mumbai Shopping Festival will also showcase Mumbai’s first ever Food Truck Zones set up in different areas over the weekends. “Our aim is to establish this event on a global platform as one of the most sought after and visiting shopping and cultural festivals of the world. 2018 to witness ‘transformational’ experiences for cruisers: CLIA


According to a report by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the next evolution of experiential travel shall witness travellers seeking ‘transformational’ experiences. The recently-released report namely,‘2018 State of the Cruise Industry Outlook’, offered an in-depth look at the cruise industry’s overall global economic impact as well as the trends impacting cruise travel in 2018. Joel Katz, Managing Director, CLIA Asia, said, “With an annual source market growth of more than 40 per cent, Asia is emerging as one of the most significant cruise destinations and cruise source markets in the world. Cruising is expected to capture a much larger percentage of the Asian population in the near future, which could catapult Asia’s share of the global market.” As part of the 2018 State of the Cruise Industry Outlook, CLIA forecast nine top cruise travel trends for the coming year. GoAir adds 30 flights to its network


GoAir shall roll out new additional flights for the winter schedule, effective from November 23, 2017. The airline will operate 22 of these flights on new routes apart from increasing the frequencies by eight flights on existing routes during winters. With the new additions, GoAir would operate an average of 240 flights a day, strengthening its market presence at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolktata, Lucknow, Nagpur and Patna.  The airline is also inducting new A320 NEOs, taking its fleet strength to 31 aircraft. To commensurate its 12 successful years in the domestic skies, GoAir has also announced an exciting anniversary fare offer starting from Rs 1212 plus taxes on all new sectors. The booking period will be from November 18-21, 2017 for the travel period from November 24, 2017 to October 28, 2018.
