Jet Airways to commence second Bengaluru-Singapore daily

Jet Airways will commence a second daily flight from Bengaluru to Singapore from March 15, 2018. The new daily flight – 9W 26, will depart from Bengaluru at 02:05 hrs (IST) and arrive into Singapore at 09:15 hrs (LT). Aside from providing choice for corporate travellers, the timings of the new flight are also expected to be of significance to the fast expanding MICE segment in Bengaluru. During its return journey, flight 9W 25 will depart from Singapore at a comfortable time of 10:15 hrs (LT), arriving in Bengaluru at 12:10 hrs (IST), allowing guests arriving in Bengaluru to travel onwards to destinations such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Mangalore using convenient connections on Jet Airways’ extensive domestic network. Gaurang Shetty, Whole Time Director, Jet Airways, said “This second daily service will benefit business travellers who are looking at tapping into India and Singapore’s promising commercial opportunities. In addition, Singapore boasts of a huge Indian diaspora that can avail of this opportunity to strengthen ties to their roots.” To celebrate the introduction of the new frequency, Jet Airways has announced special ‘introductory’ return Economy fares from Bengaluru, starting at INR 11,768 only. Guests can book tickets with these special fares starting February 15, 2018. These inaugural fares are applicable for journeys commencing from March 15, 2018 onwards. During the summer schedule, the timings of the new flight will change to depart from Bengaluru at 01:30 hrs (IST) to arrive in Singapore at 08:55 hrs (LT). The return flight from Singapore will however, continue to depart at 10:05 hrs (LT) to arrive into Bengaluru at 12:10 hrs (IST).

Jet, Air France-KLM sign partnership for Europe-India operations

Air France-KLM and Jet Airways have signed a landmark ‘Enhanced Cooperation Agreement’ for the development of their operations between Europe and India. A first in the history of Indian aviation, this agreement strengthens the partnership built between the three airlines since 2014. This cooperation was expanded in 2016 with an extensive code-share agreement for connections between Europe and North America and Jet Airways’ hubs at Mumbai and Delhi in India via Air France-KLM’ hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol. Jet announces winter offering for Premiere and Economy class

Jet Airways has announced its Winter season offering of up to 30 per cent savings on travel from India to high–demand destinations served by the airline’s international network. Passengers can avail the special fares when they book their travel between November 08–14, 2017. Travel under the offer commences with the coming New Year – effective January 22, 2018, and is applicable on both Premiere and Economy cabin classes. Jet Airways turns festive with launch of 56 weekly flights

Jet Airways is set to introduce as many as 56 new weekly flights this month and the next, ahead of the busy festive season. In a series of industry-firsts, the airline will introduce daily flights from Pune, connecting them to Guwahati via Kolkata as well as to Coimbatore. In other notable step, Jet Airways is also set to commence flight operations between Bengaluru and Silchar, as well as to New Delhi and Jorhat. The airline will be the only airline in the country to have flights on these routes which will not only bolster connectivity from Pune, but will also improve connectivity of the North East with the rest of the country. Jet Airways’ new flights from Indore and Silchar take off

Jet Airways has launched three direct flights from Indore to Jaipur, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. In addition, Jet Airways also started new daily flights from Silchar in southern Assam to New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati. All flights started on July 16, while flight from Indore to Ahmedabad started on July 17. With the three new launches, Jet Airways will operate a total of nine flights from Indore.

Singapore to enhance air connectivity to India

Singapore is mulling over increasing airline services to India, which reportedly could make India the fastest-growing air-traffic generating market for Changi Airport, leaving behind China and Indonesia. There are talks of new flights being launched to Pune, Madurai, Bhubaneswar and Guwahati from Singapore, according to Lim Ching Kiat, Managing Director for Air Hub Development, Changi Airport Group. A total of nine airlines, including Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Tigerair, Air India and Jet Airways, fly between Singapore and India. Over 1.7 million passengers travelled between Singapore and India between January and May this year, which is a 15 per cent increase over last year. IndiGo also launched a new flight between Singapore and Bengaluru last month.

Jet introduces Boeing 777 along with first class suites for Delhi-Singapore route

Jet Airways has introduced its First-Class services on its daily flights between Delhi and Singapore, with the deployment of its flagship Boeing 777 jetliner on this route. Jayaraj Shanmugam, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said, “Introduction of First Class service due to deployment of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Delhi-Singapore route will enable our guests to experience the Joy of Flying given a completely relaxed and an extremely comfortable flying experience.” The service, flight 9W 18, departs Delhi at 0935 hrs IST and arrives in Singapore at 1800 hrs (local time). The return leg, 9W 17 will depart Singapore at 1940 hrs (local time) and land in Delhi at 2300 hrs IST. The introduction of the Boeing 777 promises to set new benchmarks in service excellence and comfort. Guests will now have the option of travelling in up to eight sumptuously-appointed First Class suites, 30 lie-flat beds in Premiere or 308 ergonomically designed and spacious seats in Economy. The deployment of the largest aircraft in its fleet will also allow Jet Airways to offer significantly larger cargo capacity, providing more flexibility in transporting various types of consignments, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, machinery and industrial goods between Delhi and Singapore.

Jet starts 42 new weekly flights

Jet Airways will add 42 weekly flights connecting three new city pairs as part of strengthening its domestic network to meet growing demand between metros and emerging cities. Introduction of additional frequencies and wide-body deployments between key metros will also boost capacity on existing sectors this summer as the airline bolsters its already extensive network to meet an expected surge in demand during the holiday season. The carrier will commence operations between Nagpur and New Delhi, Lucknow and Kolkata, and Kozhikode and Bengaluru as part of its broader strategy of connecting India’s emerging tier II cities with India’s metros via direct flights. It will also introduce additional frequencies on the highly-travelled Delhi – Amritsar and Mumbai – Kolkata sectors and boost capacity on the New Delhi – Bengaluru and New Delhi – Bhopal routes with the introduction of the wide-body Airbus A330 and Boeing 737 services, respectively. The changes are a part of Jet Airways’ summer schedule which will see the airline operate upto 650 flights per day connecting 65 destinations in India and abroad. Jayaraj Shanmugam, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said, “Our summer schedule has been meticulously planned to meet the expected surge in demand over the holidays. New flights, additional frequencies, greater capacity including the introduction of wide-body services across more sectors are meant to offer our discerning guests greater choice, convenience, connectivity and added comfort.”

Jet launches direct daily between Bengaluru-Colombo from Jan 5

Jet Airways has announced the launch of a daily direct flight from Bengaluru to Colombo with effect from January 5, 2017. With this new connection, Bengaluru will be the second Indian city after Mumbai to be linked to Colombo and Jet Airways’ third daily service to the Sri Lankan capital. Jet will offer added connection for travellers between South Indian cities and Colombo via Bengaluru.
