Cruise Club to represent Dubai Business Events

Cruise Club has been appointed as the representative in India for Dubai Business Events, a division of Dubai Tourism and the city’s official convention bureau. Based out of Mumbai, Cruise Club’s role is to increase Dubai’s market share from incentive groups and corporate meetings. The team has already begun delegate boosting activity, promoting upcoming events such as the Lions Clubs International ISAAME Forum, which will take place in December at Dubai World Trade Centre. It was earlier represented by Charson Advisory. Issam Kazim, CEO, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), said, “India remains a top priority for us, now consistently being the largest source market for tourists to Dubai. This is a feat achieved through years of establishing and building strong trade ties in the market, in addition to the execution of a segment-specific approach across India. Dubai Business Events reinforces Dubai as hub for events

Dubai is an upcoming and suitable business events hub and Dubai Business Events (DBE), a division of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), ensured it so through inking six Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) throughout 2017, which outlined collaboration with potential entities across a range of key industries. Under the umbrella of DBE’s Al Safeer Ambassador Programme, the MOUs attracted organisation of  international meetings and conferences in Dubai. The convention bureau’s strategic framework enabled coordinating bids for the conferences across multiple stakeholders. The strategy was fully aligned with the UAE Vision 2021 which was aimed to grow the country into a global knowledge hub. Throughout the year, DBE entered agreements with educational, scientific and government bodies, including the Society of Engineers, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and the British University in Dubai. The emirate’s convention bureau also signed with the Road and Transport Authority (RTA), the Emirates Medical Association (EMA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dubai Business Events showcases its offerings at IBTM World 2017

Dubai Business Events, showcased the city’s latest offerings and forthcoming events throughout 2018 at the IBTM World 2017 in Barcelona. The 2017 edition of IBTM World was attended by more than 3,000 exhibitors. Among the latest developments highlighted was the inaugural Dubai Association Conference, organised by the Dubai Association Centre, which is scheduled to take place from December 11-12, 2017, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Dubai Business Events also promoted the city’s role as the host of the 57th Congress of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which will be held in Dubai from November 11-14,  2018. Dubai Business Events recently received a formal handover from this year’s host city, Prague. Dubai to host ICCA in 2018

Dubai will host the 57th Congress of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) next year from November 11-14, 2018, at Dubai World Trade Centre. This year’s edition recently concluded in Prague. Dubai was chosen host city for the 57th ICCA Congress in 2014. The bid for the event was led by Dubai Business Events and Dubai World Trade Centre. The congress will see meeting industry professionals from all over the world gather in Dubai to discuss key challenges and opportunities within the business events industry. Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “We look forward to welcoming ICCA delegates next year and hosting an event that plays an important role in the development and growth of the business events industry.” Martin Sirk, ICCA CEO, said: “Economies throughout the Gulf and Middle East are going through huge changes to their business models and are diversifying into a wide range of exciting new sectors; association-related meetings activity is bubbling up across trade.” Business events continue to play a key role in achieving Dubai Tourism Vision 2020 and UAE Vision 2021.

The Dubai Association Conference will be held from December 11-12, 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The conference will focus on building the association community, skills development and sharing best practices. Dubai auditing trade conference next year

The 2018 Institute of Internal Auditors International Conference, to be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is set to attract 3500 delegates from 110 countries, next May. The conference will take place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, part of the Dubai World Trade Centre complex, from May 6-9, 2018. Dubai Business Events (DBE), the city’s official convention bureau, collaborated with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and the UAE Internal Auditors Association (IAA) to successfully bid for the event. Dubai Association Conference from December 11-12 at DWTC

The Dubai Association Centre (DAC), a joint initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), has announced the launch of the first-ever Dubai Association Conference. The conference will be held from December 11-12, 2017, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event aims to reinforces the crucial role associations play in Dubai’s socio-economic development and its transition to a knowledge-based economy. Dubai welcomes largest incentive group for business event

Dubai has invited one of its largest ever incentive groups, with more than 12,000 visitors from over 100 countries  for the Forever Global Rally 2017, which is underway from April 2 up to April 11, 2017. Dubai Business Events had successfully won the bid in 2015 to host USA-based Forever Living’s annual trip in partnership with a number of local stakeholders, including Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), Emirates and other key suppliers to the tourism and hospitality industry. Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said, “The growing influence of the incentive segment cannot be overlooked as it is a major contributor, not only towards the development of the overall business events industry, but also towards the success of the city’s tourism sector.” Management of operations for the Forever Global Rally 2017 has been undertaken by Arabian Adventures, one of Dubai’s leading Destination Management Companies and part of the Emirates Group. Dubai Business Events wins record bids for 2016

Dubai Business Events (DBE) has recorded its most successful year to date, winning 129 bids and proposals for upcoming conferences, meetings and incentive trips in partnership with local stakeholders such as Dubai World Trade Centre, Emirates Airline, hotels as well as Destination Management Companies and Professional Congress Organisers. The number of future business events secured by Dubai Business Events increased by 79 per cent in 2016, compared to 2015, consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading destination for business events. The economic impact of these events is estimated at close to AED400 million and is expected to bring in 75,000 additional visitors to Dubai over the course of the next six years. Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “It provides the city with a unique opportunity to showcase the scale of our ambition in finding solutions to worldwide challenges, the diversity of our economy, and our keenness to collaborate as we build a stronger knowledge economy.” Throughout 2016, Dubai Business Events hosted 12 international study-missions, bringing more than 300 hosted buyers and over 40 international trade media from the business events industry to Dubai. The tailored itineraries showcased the variety of hotels and event venues, visits to new attractions such as Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai Parks and Resorts and Burj Khalifa.
