GoAir plans to add Vietnam, Cambodia to destination list

Budget passenger carrier GoAir plans to add destinations such as Hanoi and Phnom Penh to its international network by the year-end, sources said. Sources said the airline, which is rapidly expanding its international presence, will also deploy capacity to Bhutan in the coming days. Till recently, the airline flew to just four international destinations — Phuket, Malé, Muscat and Abu Dhabi. Lately, it launched a slew of new international flights — Delhi-Abu Dhabi, Mumbai-Abu Dhabi, Mumbai-Muscat, Delhi-Bangkok and Kannur-Kuwait. However, some of these new international flights are being operated on re-allocated slots of Jet Airways. GoAir has the rights over these till September.

GoAir to connect Delhi & Mumbai with Bangkok, and Kannur with Dubai & Kuwait

Starting July 19, low-cost carrier GoAir will add seven new routes to its international network, which will include three new destinations – Bangkok, Dubai, and Kuwait. The daily flights, subject to final approval, will include Delhi-Abu Dhabi, Delhi-Bangkok; Kannur-Dubai, Kannur-Kuwait; Mumbai-Abu Dhabi, Mumbai-Bangkok, and Mumbai-Muscat services. GoAir has flown over 72 million passengers since its inception, and in the next two years the airline aims to touch the 100 million passengers mark. Speaking about the new routes, Jeh Wadia, Managing Director, GoAir, said, “I am very pleased to announce these planned launches which will strengthen GoAir’s presence in the Middle East and Southeast Asian countries. The network expansion is in sync with our vision to expand our footprint in strategic markets and to grow our business profitably. This time, we are entering new destinations – Kuwait, Dubai and Bangkok – and we intend to continue the momentum in the near future.”

Delhi Airport to start ‘express check-in’ for handbag-only passengers from April at T2

The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi, is planning to roll out express check-in counter service for air passengers taking domestic flights from the airport. The service can only be availed by travellers with handbags as luggage. Reportedly, the Delhi airport will introduce this facility by April 2019 at Terminal 2, where low-cost airlines such as Indigo, SpiceJet and GoAir operate. The facility is expected to be extended to Terminals 1 and 3 in future.

GoAir to connect Bengaluru to Phuket and Male from December 9

GoAir is set to further expand its international footmark with the launch of direct flights on the Bengaluru-Phuket and Bengaluru-Male routes effective December 9, 2018. The airline recently announced its direct services to Phuket and Male from Delhi and Mumbai. GoAir will operate three direct flight services per week between Bengaluru and Phuket at an attractive return fare starting from Rs 16,999 (all inclusive); two direct flight services per week between Bengaluru and Male at an attractive return fare starting from Rs 15,199 (all inclusive). The flight schedules are designed to provide flexibility of choice, passenger convenience, and customised travel options. GoAir also provides GoHoliday packages, whereby customers can choose from 3/4/5/7 holiday options to both Phuket and Male. The addition of this new connectivity will bolster GoAir’s offering between Bengaluru-Phuket and Bengaluru-Male. It will further strengthen the airline’s growing international network and significantly enhance connectivity for passengers. The sector has been introduced in response to the growing demand from leisure travellers from Bengaluru.

GoAir to connect 10 Indian cities to Phuket by 2019-end

GoAir will make Phuket as its Thailand hub and fly to the beach island from eight more Indian cities by the end of next year. The carrier currently flies to Phuket and Male in Maldives from Mumbai and New Delhi as part of its overseas route network. It had commenced its international operations on October 11 with flight services to Phuket from New Delhi.

GoAir to commence international operations from October

GoAir is all set to commence its international flight operations. It will offer India’s first-ever direct service to Phuket, Thailand effective October 11, 2018, from Delhi and Mumbai. This will be followed by its second international service connecting Mumbai and Delhi with Male, Maldives effective October 14, 2018. These destinations will also be connected from Bengaluru in the near future. GoAir marks its first foray into international skies after completing more than a decade of successful domestic operations. GoAir will continue to operate its A320 aircraft in all operations and on both these international routes. With the introduction of these flights, the airline will increase its operations by 28 flights to a total of 1680 flights per week. GoAir will operate three direct flight services per week between Mumbai – Phuket – Mumbai at a return fare starting from INR 18,999 (All inclusive); two direct flight services per week between Delhi – Phuket – Delhi at a return fare starting from INR 18,999 (All inclusive). Similarly, the airline will operate three direct flight services per week between Mumbai – Male – Mumbai at a return fare starting from INR 17,999 (All inclusive); 02 direct flight services per week between Delhi – Male – Delhi at a return fare starting from INR 18,999 (All inclusive). GoAir adds 30 flights to its network

GoAir shall roll out new additional flights for the winter schedule, effective from November 23, 2017. The airline will operate 22 of these flights on new routes apart from increasing the frequencies by eight flights on existing routes during winters. With the new additions, GoAir would operate an average of 240 flights a day, strengthening its market presence at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolktata, Lucknow, Nagpur and Patna.  The airline is also inducting new A320 NEOs, taking its fleet strength to 31 aircraft. To commensurate its 12 successful years in the domestic skies, GoAir has also announced an exciting anniversary fare offer starting from Rs 1212 plus taxes on all new sectors. The booking period will be from November 18-21, 2017 for the travel period from November 24, 2017 to October 28, 2018. GoAir expands Patna operations from Delhi

GoAir will expand its operations to Patna with the launch of their fourth daily flight between New Delhi and Patna, with effect from June 11, 2017. This additional flight will benefit the large number of passengers travelling from Patna to New Delhi further bolstering the airline’s already extensive network. The flight G8 133 from DEL-PAT will depart at 15:10 hours and arrive at 16:50 hours daily from June 11, 2017, till October 28, 2017. Upon return, the flight G8 134 from PAT-DEL will depart at 17:20 hours and arrive at 19:10 hours daily from June 11, 2017, till October 28, 2017.
