Corporate travel management platform Tripeur raises $600,000 pre-series A funding

Shorebird Technologies, the makers of Tripeur, the third generation, end-to-end Corporate Travel Management platform, co-founded by Thiagarajan Rajagopalan and Sajit Chacko raises $600,000 in the pre-series A round of funding, led by Japan-based Incubate Fund. Tripeur is an end-to-end corporate travel management platform that uses advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to drive efficiency, ease of use and customization for business travel by employees and executives alike. The funds that were raised in the seed round were used to prove Tripeur’s platform capabilities and adoption by the market. The pre-series A fund will be used primarily for building the technology, sales and marketing teams of the company. To grow the business, the company has brought on board Manish Raj, a former senior executive from Via.com as Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer. The transaction volume on the Tripeur platform doubled in February as compared to January 2018. The target now is to grow the business by 10X in 2018 (as compared to 2017). “We are excited to lead the corporate travel space into the Third Generation by deploying latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Personalisation in various aspects of corporate travel space – be it for the traveller experience or travel desk automation or post-travel reconciliation. Sports Events 365, the provider of database and tickets for sports and music events worldwide, which actively targets the global travel market, is launching a new B2B pricing support intelligence service. The new service, specifically designed for hotels and airlines, enables them to optimise the price they charge for rooms or flights, based on information of upcoming sporting events. The company will introduce the B2B intelligence service at the Travel Technology Europe exhibition that will take place at Olympia, London, on February 21-22, 2018. The information is geared for revenue managers of hotels in Western Europe and North America, and airlines flying to those destinations where sport tourism is one of the fastest growing segments of the travel industry. “Once they learn to use the information in our database and implement it, they benefit twice. Hotels and flights everywhere are online these days and it is hard to shine.
